Kart One Racing is a family run business. The original business was established by Tim Craig back in 1991 - Tim's Southside Kart Centre, and was located in Kirrawee. Not long after establishing the business Tim moved it to 51 Canterbury Rd, Canterbury, which is a shop steeped in karting history, having had a kart business in there for the last 50 odd years.

In 1996 a change was made to the trading name and Kart One Racing was born. It was also in this year that Tim decided to take on the role of importer and distributor for Top Kart. This change in direction saw the need to open a retail shop and this coincided with the opening of Eastern Creek International Kart Raceway, which proved a great site for the retail store. Sadly as the years rolled on the business grew and the site at Canterbury was no longer big enough for the expanding business. So came the move to Wetherill Park in 2004.

2008 saw the next chapter for Kart 1 Racing, with the business moving it's whole operation to Eastern Creek. The moved allowed for a greater understanding of the business and also the ability to be within close proximity to the track. The retail shop expanded into one of Australia's largest karting super stores, stocking a comprehensive range of karting needs.

   Tim Craig

Tim is a multiple National and State karting champion, with over 20 years of experience within the industry.

   Darren King

Darren is a qualified motor mechanic. He has worked with Kart 1 Racing, on and off for the past 10 years. Darren has also tried his hand working on V8 race teams Lansvale Smash and Dean Canto. Darren is a past Australian Champion and has vast experience in all forms of karting particularly Rotax.

   Max King

Max is a qualified Fitter and Machinist who spent his years prior to joining us in 1997 in the mining industry. Max has been involved in karting for the last 25 odd years and also ventured into maintaining a Formula Vee for a close friend. So be assured that he has a vast amount of knowledge he is willing the pass on.

   Todd Maiden

Todd has been around karting for almost 10 years. Todd manages the shop on weekends.
